Test Shots

Here are most of my test shots, the locations include; South Cave quarry, South Cave woods and Hull town. The weather was perfect for when i took the photos and are exactly what i wanted and the mood that i wanted to convey. I will upload more images soon of more test shots in my other chosen locations. The test shots were really successful and i am glad i took them when i did, as i believe i have caught the correct mood and atmosphere for my final music video.

Weather Forecast for the weekend i want to film.

I have looked on the website 'Met Office' for the weather of the weekend i want to film, and apparently the weather is supposed to be really cold, no wind and no sunshine, this is the poerfect weather for shooting of my video, as i want my video to be dark and not summery. There are a few disadvantages with this weather forecast, for example the film crew and the actors will have to be wrapped up warm enough to film, if they rae too cold this will effect my filming, they may shiver and will effect their conncentration on site, another disadvantage is that due to this weather it means that it's going to get very dark quite early so everything may have to be rushed, or i might not get every shot i need. We will also have to carry equipment for my shoot and it will be hard in the cold and hard to get back in the dark and mny problems could occur due to this so we will have to be extremely careful.

Cast List

Meaghan Garner - I have chosen Meaghan to star in my music video because i have been great friends with her for a while, her dess sense would also really accompany the film greatly, also when filming she is very mature and won't make filming a big hassle and should be bale to get some great shots of her. There will also be a lot of smoking within the video as well and Meaghan will be fine with this.

Piage Graham Buckle - I have chosen Piage to also star in my music video because i am really intrigued by her hairstyle as it's very retro and would suit the part for this as it wouldn't be a stereotypical haircut that you would usually see in music videos.

Myself - Contrary to stereotype of just filming other people i am also going to include myself in the video, i have chosen to do this as i have gone and bought clothing for myself that i would need for this music video and unfortunately don't know anyone else who is the ame size as me who's male. I also am fine with smoking and if needs be i will have to for this music video, due to this being my own product as well i will act professionally and will not waste any time.

Filming Diary

19th November - 2014

Today me and my friend decided to go to South Cave quarry to collect some images and some test shots, unfortunately due to the timing and the availability of our schedules it was too dark but we still tried to take photos but due to the darkness of the area, our cameras couldn't pick up the objects we were trying to shoot.

26th Novermber - 2014

Again i went to the quarry in order to get some test shots, due to restrictions of lighting and the time of the year i had to leave college early to get these shots. Fortunately this paid off greatly as i got some great shots as you can previously see in my posts. The lighting of the day worked for me this time and it was exactly the type of mood i wanted to capture within my photos, light in the quarry, this captured all of the abandoned equipment and buildings strongly. I then proceeded into the woods to take some more shots, by this time it was already getting later and darker however, my camera was able to pick up the surroundings and again i was able to get some great low angle shots of the trees and high angles of the grounds below.


13th and 14 December - 2014

I am booking these two days off work to film, i am getting my two actors and an extra to use the camera for me and we should be filming all day hopefully. Saturday i am planning to film in South Cave quarry as previously it did not work to my benefit and then on Sunday we will be shooting at Brough Foreshore, my house and finally Hull. My two actors who are going to be in my music video are both free on this weekend, so i have got their numbers and i also have them on social networking sites, i will post screenshots of our conversations arranging what to do. Both my actors are 18 and are bale to drive this is a fantastic situation for me, so instead of me having to find my own way to them by means of public transport and having to spend money they wil be able to come to me, however i have to pay for their petrol, it won't waste as much time than it would having to find my own way to them either, therefore allowing more time to film.

Costume ideas

Here are my costume and make up ideas. I have researched stereotypes of female antagonists, male protagonists and stereotypes of addictive smokers and the conditions they suffer from.
