Digipak Research

Digipaks are covers for CDs or Vinyl's that are used mainly to promote an album for an artist, protect the contents and allow the imagery to relate to the consumers. Digipaks are usually found in most music stores and are very common to find. There are usually seen to be like a paperback book, covered in a plastic casing to protect the CD and stop the album artwork from fading. A digipak also contains plastic trays on the inside to hold the CD in place.

A digipak holds the track list of all the songs within the album, possibly some information on the band, an image of the band members and a leaflet on the inside of more further information if needs be.
